- Part A ELA exam is next THURSDAY, MAY 12, 2016. Mock exam will take place this Friday morning for the Grade 6s of Room 14 and 15. Part A involves: Writing an article and a story.

- Popcorn Sales upcoming: Mavericks will be selling popcorn again to finish their fund raising commitment to Free The Children starting Monday May 9 at lunch recess outside (weather-permitting) We will sell every Monday until we sell out. Popcorn is $2.00 a bag.
- “ School Council is in great need of volunteer drivers and collectors to help with this Saturday’s bottle drive. Proceeds will go to fund the Grade 6 Farewell evening. Health
- Human Sexuality forms were distributed today. Please read it carefully. We encourage all students to participate in order to better understand the changes they will go through. Due: May 9th, 2016.
- Because Workshop Wednesday was today, those who took responsibility to attend Workshop Wednesday were able to earn additional time during quiet reading to work on their parachute lab.
- Parachute Lab: Due TOMORROW!
- Students should be done the following for their "How High Can You Fly?" project:

- Pre-tradeshow News Article (Good copy) - Any who did not finish will have to complete their good copies at home on the computer, by hand, or at school during Workshop Wednesday (homework club).

*Please note that these are soft deadlines. If students choose not to follow these deadlines, they will find it difficult to complete the project on time due to its many components. Students are encouraged to treat these are hard deadlines.
Language Arts:
- We are working on creating infomercials for the Science project. The infomercials use many of the same concepts and ideas (of persuasiveness) covered during the propaganda ad assignment.
Social Studies
- In class it was announced that the due date for the title page was on Friday. We have extended the deadline to Monday.
- Social Studies green sheet: Due Friday. re: Iroquois Confederacy Test.
