- Jersey Day on Thursday. Any jersey will do (e.g. hockey, soccer, football).
- Reading Give-it-A-Shot over on May 6th.
- Fun lunch tomorrow.
Math:
- The Patterns test was today; any students who were away will write it their first day back.
Science:
- Quiz on May 3rd, 2016 on basic concepts relating to air, aerodynamics, and flight. Topics and format will be shown to students later this week.
- Students should be done the following for their "How High Can You Fly?" project:
- Planning Page (initialed by a teacher)
- Modification for wing shape
- Building Prototype
- Pre-tradeshow News Article (Individual Rough Copy) - should be done this by tomorrow
- Pre-tradeshow News Article (Good copy) - should be done by the end of LA tomorrow
*Please note that these are soft deadlines. If students choose not to follow these deadlines, they will find it difficult to complete the project on time due to its many components. Students are encouraged to treat these are hard deadlines.
Language Arts:
- Pop quiz on News Articles some time this week.
- Students received time in class to work with their groups to create a good copy of their pre-tradeshow article. Students will receive some time to write up their good copy tomorrow (no more than 20 minutes) and any who are not done, must complete it on their own time at home or during homework club.
- To earn the privilege of submitting ONE article for a group (for those who work in a group for the science project), all students were to come to school today with their rough draft completely done. If any members did not have their rough draft done, they were told to complete their rough draft and good copy on their own, separate from their group/partner.
- ALL STUDENTS must keep their good copy article in a safe place. It, along with their end of trade show article, will be handed in at the conclusion of the project.
