- For parents who could not attend Student-Involved Conferences, a follow-up form was sent home on Tuesday. Please fill it out and return it ASAP. If your child does not have it, please send a note to school.
- Mark Your Calendars: The evening of April 21st is the Math Showcase. Families will have one of two spots to sign up for: 6 - 7 p.m. or 7 - 8 p.m.
Social:
- We are slowly working towards gluing wampum belts together for students. A reminder:
- Roughly 10 students failed to meet the deadline. While they are still required to complete the rest of their project (planning pages and write-up), they will not be building a wampum.
- DUE DATE: Wednesday, April 6th at 2 p.m.
- Students will receive Monday and Wednesday's Social Studies period to finish their typing and are also encouraged to use homework club on Wednesday to put together finishing touches.
- By Monday, April 4th, students are strongly encouraged to have built their wampums - the hot glueing of the wampum belts will take place at school, UNLESS students wish to build their own at home with the help of a parent/guardian.
Science
- We have spent the last two classes rotating through a series of stations. Without telling students the point of the stations, they were to look for trends and common ideas based on their knowledge of air. Students are beginning to think Bernoulli's principle involves speed of air and air pressure. We will come to some conclusions next week.
Math:
- Students have been exploring sequences (single and multi-step). We have introduced how represent patterns in a table of values (t-chart). Next week, we will be practicing more with Table of Values and graphing.
- Fractions green sheets OVERDUE!
