- For parents who could not attend Student-Involved Conferences, a follow-up form was sent home LAST Tuesday. Please fill it out and return it ASAP. If your child does not have it, please send a note to school. In each class, there are still 3-4 students who have yet to return these follow-up conference forms.
- Mark Your Calendars: The evening of April 21st is the Math Showcase. Families will have one of two spots to sign up for: 6 - 7 p.m. or 7 - 8 p.m.
Social:
- Most students have completed their projects and handed theirs in on time. In Ms. Cheng's class, those who have yet hand in their projects are due to extensions given (as a result of extended absences). In Mrs. Tam's class, assignments that were not handed in is due to ineffective use of class time.
Science
- On Tuesday, students were introduced to a cross-curricular project called "How High Can You Fly". An outline was provided to each student. The project consists of: (1) A Blueprint of your Design (2) A Flying Device (3) Infomercial and (4) A News Article.
- Today, students chose to work: independently, in pairs, or in groups of 3. These groups are now final and will not be modified as students were the ones who chose their groups.
Math:
- We learned about Cartesian Planes today. The terminology introduced include: x- and y-axis, origin, Quadrants, positive and negative integers. Please ask your child to tell you about Cartesian Planes and what they've learned.
- Fractions green sheets VERY OVERDUE!
