Thundering Thursday

General:
  1. Many students still need to bring in white mugs - 10 students per class.  We cannot begin the winter activity until everybody has a mug. If you can not bring one, please let your teacher know.
  2. Winter Concert for Grade 5 and 6 students is TONIGHT at 6:00 pm.; be here by 5:30 and not sooner. Doors will be closed before then.
  3. Room 14/15 will go to the "Legend Has It" play on Tuesday.
Language Arts:
  1. A few students still owe us spelling assignments. Test TOMORROW.
Social:
  1. Research for Ancient Athen's Democracy was due today, but with concert rehearsal, Ms. Cheng could not check on the notes. A homework check of the RESEARCH NOTES will be done on Monday. Students have already been given a few periods for a handful of research questions.  Questions to ask your child to check for understanding:
    • How were the residents organized in Ancient Athens?
    • How might someone gain citizenship?
    • What were the roles and responsibilities for each group?
    • What type of democracy did Ancient Athen's have?  What does that mean?
Science:
  1. Research for tree #1 is due TOMORROW.  Please refer to your assignment sheet for research topics (e.g. general appearance, location, threats, uses).
  2. Study a topic a day for the quiz coming up next Wednesday.  Topics can be found in a previous agenda post or in your child's science duo tang.
